Dr. Jayme D. Fergoda is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington working toward licensure as a psychologist. She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University, her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Southern California, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Vanguard University; a Christian based liberal arts institution in California.
Dr. Fergoda explored interpersonal style, spirituality, and recovery from mental illness in her doctoral research and spent a year in Provo, Utah as a psychology intern at Wasatch Mental Health. Dr. Fergoda has training in psychological testing and evaluations. She is familiar with issues surrounding adoption, foster care, and parenting children with developmental challenges. She has facilitated Child Abuse Prevention Training, Parent Education Classes, Co-Dependency Recovery Groups for adults and an Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity/Social Skills Group for children. Dr. Fergoda provided psychosocial support to adults/children suffering from renal disease and to kidney transplant recipients. She has worked in rehabilitation with adults who have sustained brain injuries and cerebral vascular accidents or strokes. Dr. Fergoda enjoys teaching at the Bellingham Campus of Trinity Western University and was previously employed at Catholic Community Services in the Children’s Hospitalization Alternative Program. She has provided mental health services to families in medical and outpatient settings for twenty years.
